Where & When to Park The City issues parking permits and enforces parking rules to make it easy and safe for all pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists to get around Davis. Here you will find parking permit information and tools to help navigate your parking options.

How to Purchase Permits Parking permits are available for purchase Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residential and commuter parking permit applications are available below. For more information, visit the City’s website.

Residential (Homeowners) Parking permits are required in some residential areas near campus. To determine if you need a permit, refer to the map. Residential permits allow residents to park on the street.

Homeowners may purchase residential and/or visitor permits in person or by mail. Please complete the application, supply the current Department of Motor Vehicles registration for each vehicle receiving the permit and submit payment.

Residential (Renters) Renters must apply for permits in person and supply their permit application, driver’s license, DMV registration and current lease agreement. Month to month lease agreements are accepted, but a utility bill must be provided. For additional information, please review the second page of the permit application.
